And the walls came tumbling down...

Now that the walls have come down for the new design floor plan, you can get a real sense of how big the space is going to be when done. This panoramic shot shows the open concept dining, kitchen and living, with openings to the master bedroom and guest bathroom. The crew I'm working with is truly exceptional, and I'm super pleased with how they are progressing. Every evening when I go to inspect the house, significant progress has been made. Now I can see my vision for this house come to reality.

Hopefully towards the end of this week they'll be starting the framing and early next week the rough for the electrical and pipes. Every step is a journey, and I'm enjoying it. Can't wait for the final product.

My contractor called me yesterday and was like... remember me to teach you something about dumpsters. I asked, "oh why. what went wrong." He explained that the dumpster I had hired was too tall, and it was difficult chucking in all the materials. Next time I'll know not to use that company but to go with a more flatbed kind of dumpster. The easier the work is the faster they go the more money I save.

This week working with the cabinet guy to finalize the cabinets for the kitchen layout.
